Benalmadena likes to surprise and although it is much smaller than Malaga, we can find it in it  many attractions, especially for the youngest.

Besides Dolphinarium Selwo Marina or Teleferico hides another treasure, Castillo de Colomares, which would not be ignored is Disney cartoons :)

As the name suggests, it is a beautiful castle, or rather a castle,

which, however, was never the seat of kings.  This is because it is of unprecedented size  monument, designed  in honor of Christopher Columbus and his discovery of America.

Castillo was built by an American physician  Esteban  Martín y Martín  in 1987 - 1994, which  decided to pay tribute to the explorer.

It is real  architectural fantasy that emerging from  brick, concrete, natural stone, wood and other materials  combines style  byzantine, romanesque,  Gothic  and Mudejar.

Walking on the surface  We will discover 1,500 square meters  many hidden symbols  from the three cultures present in medieval Spain (Judaism, Christianity and Islam), to the three ships on which Columbus sailed discovering America.  In addition, the attractions include the world's smallest chapel  with an area of just  1.96 square meters, permanently subscribing  Guinness Book of Records.

The whole structure is a carefully carved work of art, a symbol of intrepid adventures and discoveries of Columbus, beautifully blending in with the Costa del Sol coast.
