El Patio Bodega

El Patio Bodega is one of those places and restaurants in Málaga that I come back to very often recently. What convinces me is the Spanish atmosphere, good location, but most of all very good food :)

It is a place with over 30 years of tradition, in which it specializes in rice dishes, served in over 30 ways - including the best paella in the city! It is also a winery with a rich tradition, serving 10 types of Malagian wine straight from the barrel.

The name of the restaurant refers to its interior, because the interior resembles a typical Spanish patio with  a cool courtyard, authentic iron columns, wine barrels and an original collection of 40 old posters depicting bullfights from 1908 to 1957.  The facade of the building is decorated with  rich floral shutters reminding us that we are nowhere else but in Andalusia as well  beautiful mosaics of Cenachero and Roma - two of the most recognizable symbols of the city.

Apart from paella, I recommend trying other Spanish tapas, such as pimientos rellenos de rape and gambas, croquetas, crepes de boletus and gambas or caracoles de la abuela (which taste great, but scare many people away;)

El Patio can be found on Calle Granada 39, not far from the Los Gatos restaurant that you previously recommended. Map here.

I wholeheartedly recommend El Patio! You will taste real, honest Spanish cuisine there :)
