La Recova

In Málaga, I am always looking for places that have "souls" or  which are "difficult to discover" for normal tourists. I never recommend restaurants that I haven't checked myself and which I don't like to come back to. I love this place ... just like that, because here I feel that I am in the real Spain  :)

I admit - La Recova  I did not discover by myself. They recommended  I got her friends adding- if  you are looking for a place in Málaga,  which you want to recommend with a pure heart  others, this should be on your top list! and is! :)  because it charms with normality, atmosphere and good, old Spanish style.

The place is not noticeable  passers-by, because it is hidden in a narrow, side street,  on top of that, it's an ordinary shop with handmade crafts from Malaga and Andalusia. The restaurant is hidden inside, inconspicuously between shelves with jugs, jewelry and old furniture. Offer  breakfast, there is one, but it is rich and actually the only one  in the city center. It includes coffee served with warm milk or tea, a plate of fresh tomatoes, two toasted slices of country bread and  a platter of pastes and jams. The pastes in question are  sobrasada (typical Spanish sausage with paprika), mantecas con lomo (lard with pieces of tenderloin),  pate, fish paste  and jams: sweet potato and apple. All this is included in the price. NOTE! 2.40 euro per person! I haven't seen a cheaper offer in Malaga;)

During the day, the restaurant offers standard tapas and dishes served in larger portions, as well as Malagian wines.

You can find La Recova at  It fits. Ntra. Shit. de los Dolores de San Juan 5. Map here.

Go there to enjoy a typical Spanish breakfast, recharge your batteries for the day and  fall in love with  the simplicity of it  places :)
