Las Merchanas

The end of the carnival ( Carnaval de Malaga ) always means the upcoming next great event, which is Semana Santa . For those who have never had the opportunity to see the celebration of this festival, smell the incense and hear the music - there is one place in Malaga that will reward you.

Las Merchanas restaurant is not an ordinary eatery or one of many. Here, the decor, smell, music, everything is related to Semana Santa and referring to Holy Week. Pictures of processions, holy paintings, Hrabst costumes or even large balls made of wax. In addition, the smell of incense, typical for Semana Santa, as well as videos presenting last year's processions and music will make you feel the extraordinary atmosphere of events very important for malaquenos :) Here, almost everything is Semana Santa and perfectly reflects the nature of the holiday.

Of course, apart from the decor and atmosphere, you will find here a typical Malaga cuisine. I especially recommend bacalao, croquetas de la abuela, seafood and berenjenas con miel (eggplant with honey) - really delicious!

It is one of those places that I recommend to all my guests. You will find there a typical Spanish atmosphere, good cuisine and amazing impressions :)

It must be on your list of good restaurants in Malaga, I can't imagine that you can skip this place;)

Las Merchanas can be found on Calle Mosquera, 5 near Dulces Dreams.
