Nerja

Nerja is one of those places that should become a must-see for every tourist coming to Malaga or the Costa del Sol.

A small town located 50 km from Málaga, which, despite the dynamic development of tourism, has retained much of its former charm  and manners.

It is one of the white coastal towns, filled with narrow streets adorned with beautiful flowers.

The main point of the resort is Balcon de Europa - a rocky vantage point and a promenade protruding into the sea, built on the site of a former Moorish castle. From the old town, we reach the rocky coast and slightly smaller, more secluded beaches (Playa Calahonda and Playa El Chorillo), located between the rocks. You will find much better sand and clean water, allowing you to dive.

One of the most famous attractions of Nerja is situated about 4 km. from the city the complex of caves: Cueva de Nerja. There is a gigantic 32-meter-high column on which supposedly a trillion drops of water was needed to crystallize. In summer, Jaksini hosts numerous concerts and performances. The place is also famous for the largest stalactics in Spain.

This small, white town will surely charm you with its small beaches tucked between rocks, charming, small streets and the best paella in the region :)

You can get to Nerja from Málaga by car or by bus for 8 €.
