Parque Del Oeste

Park Del Oeste  is an unusual, even unusual place in Malaga, and above all, perfect for spending many afternoons. It will surely appeal to both nature and art lovers.

This is still a park? Or already an Art Gallery? Or maybe an ordinary mini zoo?

Parque del Oeste cannot be described in a few words or classified, because it falls into all categories.  

On 74,000 m2 of green area there are three lakes, a mini zoo with exotic birds, emu ostriches and kangaroos, playgrounds, and 

45 sculptures by the German artist Stefan  von Reiswitz.  

Parque del Oeste is a real city art gallery. The statues located in various parts of the park will surprise many passers-by and art experts. The sophisticated figures refer to mythology and fantasy, as here you can meet minotaurs, mermaids, unicorns, dolphins and women with shell-shaped heads.  

For sports lovers, the park has sports facilities: basketball and football fields, mini gyms and over 4,000 m2 for jogging.  

It is one of those places in Málaga that surprise and delight, have souls and come back to them very often. Everyone will find something for themselves - peace, a quiet place to read a book, or for walks, nature or a place to spend an afternoon with a child. I recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from reality for a moment, or find a place - so rarely found in Malaga - beautiful greenery.
