Closer to Nature in 14  days

(Cabo de Gata Nature Park - Ronda - El Chorro (Caminito del Rey) - Beaches of the province of Cadiz - Tarifa)

When we have more time, apart from the obligatory points that must be visited in Andalusia, the route (the Pearls of Andalusia in 7 days ) should be enriched with places where nature is in the first place. Undoubtedly, one of the greatest advantages of traveling in a motorhome is the unquestionable contact with nature and rest in conditions that allow you to forget

about the hustle and bustle of the city. Andalusia seems to be a travel paradise, because everyone will find something for themselves - beautiful beaches (from Costa de la Luz, to Costa del Sol or Costa Tropical)

to the imposing mountain ranges with soaring peaks of Sierra Nevada. *

Cabo de Gata Natural Park

The central section of the Costa de Almeria is primarily the Cabo de Gata-Nijar Landscape Park, whose name comes from the Cabo de Gata headland, making it the most beautiful

and possibly the wildest part of the southern Spanish coast. The park landscape is filled with cliffs, dunes and salt lakes,

and thanks to this, we can find here unparalleled anywhere else natural habitats, a real richness of fauna and flora. Along the 60 km long coast, we will not find concrete settlements or noisy resorts, on the contrary - often they will be wild beaches or hidden caves.

Ronda

Ronda, known as the "white city", is one of the most interesting places in Andalusia, which cannot be missed while visiting the Costa del Sol. Rondo is very picturesque thanks to its location on both sides of the rocky gorge of the Geadalevin river, known as El Taji. Their shores are connected by the remarkable and truly impressive 100-meter long arched "new bridge" Puente Nuevo, built in the 18th century.

The route around the city is impressive, more than once we will want to stop for a moment to admire the views, and nearby cities such as Setenil de las Bodegas, Grazelema or Zahara de la Sierra will delight everyone.

Where to park:  It is not recommended to enter the city center, it is best to leave the motorhome at the parking lot near the bus station.

El Chorro (Caminito del Rey)

A small mountain town famous today for its reopening in 2015. the so-called

The "King's Path" or Caminito del Rey, once considered one of the most dangerous climbing sites in the world. The trail that runs along the steep walls of the limestone gorge Desfiladero de los Gaitanes (near El Chorro) was built between 1901 and 1905 to transport material and people. The old Caminito, which did not survive the test of time, was left intact as a new path consisting mainly of wooden panels and brackets drilled into the rock was positioned just above it. In addition, the route was enriched with glass plates, and a bridge suspended at a height of 100 meters above the gorge, connecting both sides of the Balconcillo de los Gaitanes.

Beaches of the Province of Cadiz

When we experience the climbing adrenaline and visit the beautiful cities of Andalusia, we have nothing else to do but to escape from the hustle and bustle of civilization and take care of blissful lazing on the beautiful beaches of the Cadiz province. A must-see is the small village of Los Canos de Meca with its impressive lighthouse, where wide sandy beaches, cliffs and crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean will make you feel like you are in paradise. On our travel map, we should not forget about the neighboring beaches of Barbate, Zahara or Zahara de Las Atunes, where we can find a lot of campers and places ideal for a stopover. We should end our journey on the beautiful de Bologna beach, which in 2016 was awarded the title of the best beach in Spain. You can find here only nature and over 4 km of golden sand, but also a phenomenal moving dune over 30 m high, which is a natural monument.
